Rigid Pins

Rigid Pins are used to test bare circuits, i.e. without mounted components; they do not have a spring and barrel, but are simply composed of a single rigid part. They have the function of connecting the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) circuits with the electronics of the test machine, like the normal Spring Probe.

They are available in various total lengths, diameters and types of heads and can be customized according to the needs of the order.

Technical data of the Rigid Pins

Recommended minimum distance

Thanks to their small diameter, Rigid Pins can be installed in very close pitches.
Among those we produce, Rigid Pins have a diameter of 0.3 mm and a length up to 90 mm.

Current rating

The current rating carried by the Rigid Pins is up to 3A.

Typical contact resistance

The typical contact resistance of a Rigid Pin is 30 mΏ.

Rigid Pins materials and plating

The materials used to produce our Rigid Pins are:

Copper-Beryllium

BeCu

To guarantee high conductivity, low resistance and good hardness, thus reducing the possibility of twisted pins.

Toughenable steel

To provide less electrical conductivity, but greater mechanical strength and thus record a longer life cycle duration of the Rigid Pin.

Rigid Pins head shape

The heads of the commonly used Rigid Pins are numbers 02, 05, 11, 13. In addition, various other shapes are always available according to the needs and requirements of the customer.

The insulating plastic head, on the other hand, is usually used as protection.
